Pomino Bianco 2020 is a beautiful white wine. Predominantly comprised of chardonnay and pinot Blanc.
A nose of green apple peel, unripen pear, carnations, and primrose. The wine is partially oaked and offers tastes of rich pineapple on the palate. Attractive acidity, harmonious minerality, and a delicious finish.
Pairs lovely with herbed baked chicken, buttermilk fried chicken, and Alfredo linguine. My favorite pairing for Pomino Bianco is a turkey burger with all the trimmings.
Benefizio Riserva DOC located in a high elevation vineyard of 700 meters above sea level with a southern exposure and sandy soil. The chardonnay grapes used are harvested by hand with extreme care. Benefizio is then produced in oak barrels on its lees. The term “lees” refers to the sedimentation in the barrel and offers a creamy rich texture to the wine.Â
This chardonnay has a straw-yellow color with shimmering golden highlights. The complex nose of exotic fruit and orange blossoms is exciting.
Dried ginger, vanilla, ripened pineapple, and mango skin is on the palate. A nice minerality and a long-sophisticated finish.
Benefizio pairs well with turkey cutlets, stuffed chicken breast, and roasted veggies with lemon pasta.
